Smoky Mountain Health and Hospice has top notch nurses. My family is so appreciative for the kindness, support, friendship and professionalism of the Smoky Mountain staff. The nurses we got to know and respect during my father’s illness will never really know how much we appreciate them. They are professionals in every way. They truly care about their patients. We want to express our appreciation and gratitude to them.
We picked these precious people to be our Daddy’s hospice service… the Lord really used each caregiver in a different way… the unknown & unfamiliar is very stressful when you have never been through a time like this… each person that came had different personalities of course.. but each personality was a perfect fit for the stages we went through… we love each & every one of them & can’t thank you all enough for your loving help during such a sad, grievous time, God bless Smoky Mountain & all the caregivers.
I want to thank the staff of Smoky Mountain Home Health for being so kind and loving to our Sweet Momma…they have called and cared…laughed, cried, nurtured, cleaned, treated and loved. To Ben, Melissa, Pam, Dr. Clark, Holly, Lori, Jonathan, Reverend Mike and all the others involved in Mom’s care through the Hospice Program THANK YOU. Our Family could not ask for a better group of people to depend on and lean on…if you ever want or need the services they offer do not hesitate…Again, thank you Smoky Mountain Health.
I am writing this for my grandmother. She wanted everyone to know that she is now able to walk and get around because of the therapy she has received. Her words “I have never had such good care as I have had with them.”
May 31st, 2019 marks the 1 year anniversary of my Daddy’s passing. We had to put him under Hospice care about 2-3 weeks prior to his passing. We have known SMHH&H for many many years. My Dad had been friends with the owner for a long time. So, it was without saying we would choose Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice. They went way above and beyond our expectations. We wanted his last days to be as comfortable as we possibly could. The staff made sure this happened. Daddy was as comfortable as he possibly could be, as well as the rest of the family. We were treated as their family. Any time we called, they answered our questions with such love and devotion, from the answering service to the nurse on call. They were always willing without hesitation to come and see him. They made sure his pain was under control, and our minds were eased before they left. We spent the Saturday before he passed away, until the Thursday he went to his Heavenly Home in the hospital, and they were right there with us. I can’t not express enough how amazing Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice truly was for us. Our nurses, social worker, pastor, and any other staff we came in contact with treated us as their own family. I would highly recommend them for any of your home health or hospice needs. I will never forget the love, devotion, dedication, and complete competency shown to us during this hard time. A very special thank you to Tammy, Leslie, Steve, Debbie, Melanie, and Chelsey. And most of all Melinda Carter, who was Daddy’s primary nurse. She was my rock thru it all. Thank you so much to Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice for making our very difficult time a more bearable one.
Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice provided the best service and care for my mother and father above and beyond all expectations. Not only did they provide excellent health care, but showed much love and kindness while caring for my Mom and Dad! Knowing, I could contact them and get a reply in short order gave me such peace of mind. As a care giver, I appreciated the much needed help of RN Charlie Grooms who was available at all times with his knowledge and expertise. Anita and Megan, while bathing my parents, were so gentle, kind and thoughtful. Regular visits from the doctor, chaplain and certain SMHHH personnel completed the circle of assistance one needs during this time. Everyone went out of their way to show love and concern at all times. I thank my God for Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for being such a great help during my time as a care giver. Marilyn B. “When mother came home from the hospital we were apprehensive about taking care of her ourselves. Thank you for making this care possible so she could stay in her own home.”
